These compotiers ovales are from a service with decoration described as 'zones jonquilles volubilis' made at Sèvres in 1788 for a Parisian lady called Madame Huber. The decoration has bands of yellow ground and the pieces are painted with morning glory flowers. There were four examples of this shape in the service which cost 27 livres each.
