This is a charming gobelet Litron et soucoupe of the third size. The decoration with its green trellis and blue painting of dots, circles and leaf trails is quite idiosyncratic and delightful. This would have been made as a perhaps uniquely decorated collector’s piece rather than as part of a large similarly-decorated tea service.
With the factory marks of interlaced L’s, date letter S for 1771 and the mark of the decorater Boulanger.
