A Hard-Paste Sèvres Porcelain Cup & Saucer, 1794-95

This goblet Litron et soucoupe is of the third size and has the factory mark Sevres and the painter’s mark of a temple pediment for Jean-Jacques Dieu (active at Sèvres 1776-91, 1794-98 & 1801-05).  The cup is impressed C.

An usual scheme of chinoiserie decoration and with a bright green ground colour characteristic of the variety that the factory created on hard-paste porcelain.
