A Pair of Sèvres Porcelain Wine Glass Coolers, 1772

This pair of soft-paste seaux crénelés are decorated with a green ground and large reserves painted with flowers. This design has crenellated edges for wine glasses to cool in iced water, upside-down.

Date-letter T for 1772, painter’s mark LB for Jean-Nicolas Le Bel.
