A Pair of Soft-Paste Sèvres Porcelain Oval Dishes from the Beaujon Service, 1765

These two dishes come from an unusual dinner service created to the order of the Parisian banker Nicholas Beaujon in 1765. 

Holbein’s The Ambassadors now in the National Gallery, London, was in Beaujon’s collection.
