A Pair of Vincennes Porcelain Cabbage Leaf Dishes, circa 1755

The mould for this ‘feuille de choux’ shape must have been made from a real cabbage leaf. In common with the other 8 known examples of this shape, the moulding of the leaf has gaps where a snail or slug had eaten away the original leaf.
