A Sèvres Biscuit Figure of ‘Le jouer de Sabot’ on its Porcelain Socle, 1764-66
This biscuit porcelain figure depicts a young boy seated on a rock with a stick and a spinning top, raised on a fluted porcelain pedestal moulded with swags and decorated with a dark blue (bleu nouveau) ground and burnished gilding. Factory marks in red with the gilder’s mark B.
