A Sèvres Footed Tray from the Marquis de Durfort Service, 1766

This soucoupe à pied is from a Sèvres porcelain dinner service decorated with ‘frize colorée’ made for the Marquis de Durfort when he became the French Ambassador to Austria 1766. There were four trays of this size in the service costing 72 livres each.

Factory marks in blue enclose the date-letter N  for 1766.
