A Sèvres Porcelain Ice Cup probably made for Madame de Pompadour, 1759

This is a soft-paste porcelain tasse à glace probably from a set of three made for Madame de Pompadour in 1758 with one more – this – supplied in July 1759. It is decorated with green palms and wreath shaped garlands of flowers in natural colours.

Factory marks with the date-letter f; for 1759; painter’s mark of a fleur de lys for Vincent Taillandier.
