This Cup & Saucer (gobelet Litron et soucoupe, third size) was probably made as a one-off collector’s piece rather than as part of a service of matching pieces.

It has the date letters GG for 1784, the painter’s mark J. Fontaine and the gilders mark for H.-F. Vincent.
