This pot à sucre Hébert is of the 2nd size and has the factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter q for 1769, adjacent painter’s mark N for François-Joseph Aloncle (active at Sèvres 1758-81).

The bleu nouveau ground, the bird painting and the tooled gilding are all excellent examples of this decoration.
