A Soft-Paste Sèvres Porcelain Tray for a Tea Service, 1760

This tray was formerly associated with a sale to one of the daughters of Louis XV but that sale was in 1759 and this piece is dated for 1760.  Such would be the calibre of purchaser for a piece of this lavish quality.

With the factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter G for 1760;  painter’s mark of a line with three dots for André-Vincent Vielliard (active at Vincennes and Sèvres 1752-90).
