A Very Rare Vincennes Porcelain Cup and Saucer, 1753

Yellow-ground Vincennes porcelain is exceptionally rare. This gobelet à la reine et soucoupe are decorated with cherubs after an engraving by François Boucher in monochrome blue (camaïeu bleu). Factory marks and the painter’s marks for Mutel and Vielliard.
This Cup & Saucer are part of the body of evidence that allowed the scholar David Peters in 2014 to redefine that the date letter A was not used until early 1754.
