This soft-paste porcelain flower vase, a cuvette à fleurs unie, is decorated with exceptionally fine gilding around the painted landscape decoration.

Factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter C for 1756; painter’s mark of a reversed S.  This painter’s mark is seen on other pieces decorated with landscapes with the date letters for 1755 to 1757 but the name of the artist is unidentified.
