Fourteen French 18th Century Soft-Paste Sèvres Plates from an Ambassadorial Service, 1766

This Ambassadorial service originally consisted of 60 plates, 14 compotiers, two sucriers, 4 soucoupes à pied and 4 plateaux Bouret and four coolers for liqueur decanters.  The borders have alternating green, blue and gold harebells with trails of flowers, and the centre of each piece is painted with a rosette formed of four addorsed red shells surrounded by a garland of flowers.
