Dark blue (bleu Lapis) ground and monochrome blue scenes of putti in clouds. Unusually this has two date letters, A for 1753-54 in underglaze, and C for 1755-56 over the glaze, when the piece was finally decorated. Painter’s mark of an eye.

This dish was probably sold as the basin for a pear-shaped ewer with the same decoration.
