Dark blue (bleu Lapis) ground and gilded leaves and birds. Painted with the factory mark and the date letter A for 1753-54.
This is a rare and rather grandly decorated beurrier of a model which was made from the earliest years of the factory and throughout the next four decades. Such high quality and early dark blue bleu Lapis wares are not often available for sale.
