This plateau du roi of the second size was made to be sold with a similarly decorated cup and saucer and a sugar bowl and cover. This is a fine early example of the turquoise-blue (bleu céleste) ground. Marked with the factory mark of interlaced L’s, the date letter C for 1755-56 and the unidentified painter’s mark B.Sold to a European Collector, 2005
