Painted with three large bird scenes of great scale and quality by Armand l’aîné, the highest-paid painter of birds at the Sèvres factory. This bowl would have originally been made with a morter (mortier) of matching decoration. Such sets are very rare indeed.Private Collection, UK, 2008
