This dish matches a group of nine from this service in the British Royal Collection which were bought by the future King George IV in 1790 when he was the Prince of Wales.
Factory mark with the date letters kk for 1787. Painter’s mark for C.-J, Hirel de Choisy; gilder’s mark GI for E.-G. Girard.
