Literature

This soft-paste porcelain mortar (mortier) for grinding spices is decorated with panels of blue and gold triangles ‘mozaïque‘ set in gilded rococo borders.

From the collection of Lord Kinnaird, Perthshire.

Factory marks in blue enclosing the date-letter H for 1761 painter’s mark for C.-L. Méreaud.
