This teapot has unusually elaborate gilding on the bleu lapis ribbon panels which carry onto the cover.
With the factory mark of interlaced L‘s enclosing the date-letter E for 1758, painter’s mark H for Charles-François Becquet.
The flower painter Becquet is one of the new Sèvres painter’s mark attributions by the scholar David Peters in 2019.
