A French 18th Century Soft-Paste Sèvres Porcelain ‘Jewelled’ Cup and Saucer (gobelet Litron et soucoupe, 2nd size), 1781.
This was purchased in 1955 by a great collector from the dealer Hans Backer in London.
There is one other almost identical cup and saucer to this example in the Forsyth Wickes collection at The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, USA.
