Each with the factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter E for 1758, adjacent to the painter's mark of a crown for Jean-Charles Sioux l'aîné (active at Vincennes and Sèvres from 1752-92).

The plaster model for this shape survives in the Sèvres archives bearing a label inscribed 'Vase Indien E', but it is now generally considered that the name of this shape was vase Chantilly or simply pot à fleurs. The porcelain painted Jean-Charles Sioux specialised in monochrome flower garlands of this style and examples of his work may be found in major collections, such as a jug and basin in the Royal Collection.
