This biscuit porcelain figure depicts a young boy seated on a rock with a stick and a spinning top, raised on a fluted porcelain pedestal moulded with swags and decorated with a dark blue (bleu nouveau) ground and burnished gilding. Factory marks in red with the gilder's mark B.
From the highly celebrated Galliers-Pratt Collection of French soft-paste porcelain, formed in the 1930s-1960s.
