An exceptional early example of this ground colour with fine painting and gilding in patterns based on Meissen porcelain.
This cup and saucer comes from one of two exceptionally lavish and expensive tea services bought by the Parisian marchand-mercier Lazare Duvaux from the porcelain factory in 1754.
