A Giant Oval Rotation, 2000

This vast sculpture was given by Adrian Sassoon to The Victoria & Albert Museum, London and is displayed along with contemporary furniture and design in their primary galleries. It was made by applying white clay mixed with granules of black porcelain and of borosilicate glass into a mould in two sections. These were joined and fired with a certain amount of subsequent polishing of the surface.
