Cast Glass Pyramid, 1999

This is the last available example of a series of pyramids that Colin Reid made – all of varying proportions and with different ‘veils’ where the blocks of glass have fused in the kiln

The blue pigments along the base fill the clear glass with colour when viewed from certain angles

Similar examples are in the collections of The Victoria & Albert Museum, London and in The Fitzwiliam Museum, Cambridge, England
