Twin Temples; Willow Pattern, 2010

Of white porcelain with cobalt blue and pale blue pencil drawing, gold lustre on the porcelain stopper.

Twin Temples II was a popular blue and white pattern of the early 19th Century in England and was applied as a paper transfer under the glaze to a plate shape. Although in this work the pattern is hand drawn it gives the illusion of having been wrapped around the bottle.
