Two ‘Cotignac Seed Head Open Vases’, 2003

Crystalline-glazed stoneware.

These heavily encrusted Vases were made as a pair in the spring of 2003 – the bodies were fired to biscuit state in France, and in the summer of the year they were glazed by Kate in her kiln in London. The free-hand vases are embellished with the forms of dried seed pods found in the French countryside.
