Los Angeles County Museum of Art Commissions Innovo Vase, 2016 by Michael Eden
Commissioned for LACMA’s exhibition ‘The Stowe Vase: From Ancient Art to Additive Manufacturing’, Michael Eden’s Innovo Vase was displayed between the ancient Roman Stowe Vase, reconstituted during the eighteenth century from fragments and a silver version of the Stowe Vase made by leading silversmith of the English Regency era Paul Storr.
The work was a gift to LACMA from Viveca Paulin-Ferrell and Will Ferrell, Alice and Nahum Lainer, Shannon and Peter Loughrey and Heidi Wettenhall and Said Saffari though the 2016 Decorative Arts and Design Acquisitions Committee.
