VEZZINI & CHEN: SCULPTING LIGHT

Vezzini and Chen’s studio’s work is characterised by the artful union of her hand-carved ceramics and his blown glass.

Their collections tread a fine line between functional and conceptual, with the design duo creating sculptural bespoke lighting and installations inspired by forms and surfaces observed in nature.

Ahead of launching their new collection at Design Miami 2023, we visited their East London studio to learn more about their practice:

“Our aesthetic is different; I’m more interested in pure form and shape, and Cristina is more decorative, but we both take inspiration from nature and organic forms. That’s the commonality”
