A Vincennes Porcelain Cup & Saucer with faux Meissen marks, 1745-49
A Vincennes Cup & Saucer decorated in the Meissen manner with crossed swords mark, 1745-49.
Created at the Vincennes factory based on pieces of Meissen porcelain made in the preceding years which had been imported into France and were clearly seen by the French porcelain makers. There are a very small number of these pieces with the crossed-swords mark of the Meissen factory.
