This large pot à boire has the factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter F for 1759. Painter's mark of a caduceus for Jean Bouchet (active at Sèvres 1757-93).
Large covered tankards were described in factory documents as pots à boire, or sometimes pots à tabac as in the 18th century tobacco was sometimes consumed like a tea.
