This pair of Jugs are a unique pair in Kate’s work. The shapes were made free-hand for these pieces and they are generously encrusted with moulded decoration of daisies, pineapples, punpkins and foliage. The style of encrustation is reminiscent of two amazing large jugs made by Kate in 2000 that can be seen in the sold section of this site. Do also note how the glaze has formed bold drips that emphasise the shape of the handles.
