Katharine Coleman MBE
"As a freelance glass engraver, my work requires close collaboration with other artists who blow glass for me to my design, mainly clear glass blown forms overlaid with coloured glass on the outer surface. Potter Morgan Glass, Carl Nordbruch and Sonja Klingler make work for me.
The top surface of the glass is then cut, ground and polished so that when the subsequent engravings with their refractions on the inner surface are viewed, the illusion of one body floating within another is created."
