The Fitzwilliam Museum purchases Tanami Mapping III – Talus Slope, 2014, by Pippin Drysdale

Talus Slope is a vivid example from renowned Australian ceramicist Pippin Drysdale’s Tanami Mapping series.

The purchase of this piece was made possible through the bequest of Dr. Ronald Gray and provides an international context to the Fitzwilliam Museum’s popular craft collection.

Drysdale lives and works in Freemantle and has a career spanning over four decades. The colour palette she uses in her work is deliberately comprehensive, reflecting the sheer wonder of her inspirational native landscape.
