A Pair of Soft-Paste Sèvres Porcelain Wine Decanter Coolers, 1758
This is a really fine pair of wine decanter coolers (seaux à bouteilles) with the factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter E for 1758. One with the painter’s mark of an axe for Pierre-Joseph Rosset (active at Vincennes and Sèvres 1753-95)and on the other 4 for an unidentified painter of flowers working in the 1750s.
