This plateau carré is of the first size and has the factory mark in blue enclosing the date letter I for 1762, adjacent painter’s mark of a T under a dot for François Binet (active at Vincennes and Sèvres 1750-75).

This tray was most probably originally made and sold with a matching cup and saucer with swirling bleu céleste ground.
