A Pair of Soft-Paste Sèvres Porcelain Liquer Decanter Coolers from the Comte de Durfort Service, 1761
Each with the factory marks enclosing the date letter H for 1761 and the painter’s mark of P-A Méreaud.
These smaller liqueur decanter coolers are form the dinner service made for the Comte de Durfort in 1761 when he was Ambassador from France to the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies (Naples and Sicily). There were four of these in the original service costing 48 livres each. One more is in a British private collection.
