A Sèvres Cup & Saucer, 1760

A Sèvres Cup & Saucer (gobelet Hébert et soucoupe) with scrolling bands of green ground, the flower painting attributed to Vincent Taillandier, circa 1760.

This pattern of scrolling green ground colour panels is known on pieces dating from 1760 and a year or two later.  This is a large example with very finely-painted flowers.  One complete tea service of this pattern is know with a tray and other matching pieces but generally the pattern is seen on cups and saucers rather than other shapes.

From a distinguished German private collection.
