A Soft-Paste Sèvres Porcelain Sugar Bowl & Cover, 1757
This is a pot à sucre Hébert of the 3rd size with a ribbon of green ground.
It has the factory mark and date letter D for 1757 and the painter’s mark of a scrolling N for Jean-Baptiste-François Alexandre.
Illustrated standing next to the matching milk jug – they were made as parts of the same tea service. It is also on this website and can be found by searching 10782.
